We had a wonderful time in Ecuador reviewing nearly a dozen projects which are benefiting people in numerous ways. We saw how reservoirs increased agricultural productivity, tilapia farms created economic benefit & food stability, and women's clothing co-ops impacting families, the economy and mental health. Great trip and great organization.

It was a fabulous trip. Ambitious itinerary but planned flawlessly. It was an important trip to share our field experience and mission with three new board members. I can’t think of a better way to introduce what CHOICE Humanitarian is all about. Thank you to the staff and country team for considering every detail to make it a success.

This was my third humanitarian trip, and somehow it never gets easier to leave. Each time, I find myself leaving a piece of my heart behind in the village. I carry home not just memories, but a deeper understanding of what truly matters. What continues to stand out to me is Choice’s unique strength: the people and leaders within each country determine what will truly lift their own communities. It’s not imposed, it’s built from within. That kind of trust creates something lasting. During this trip, we met with three women from the women’s educational co-op that Choice helped establish. This program does more than teach skills, it gives women the ability to earn, to contribute, and to step into a future with dignity and independence. One moment, in particular, has stayed with me. I was so moved that I made sure to learn her name, Nimia Chiroque and older women, because her words captured everything: " With Choice they never leave us on the side and with Choice we can move forward. We are not desperate". That is Choice. Lifting people. Strengthening communities. Walking beside them not just for a moment, but forward into what comes next. Melissa Schaefer 801 201 8056

It was so amazing! I had a great time and have learned so many great things about the culture and enjoyed the hard work and impact that our service did for the community. I appreciated the accommodations as well as the stories and the culture I got to learn because of it.

Choice Humanitarian knows how to do humanitarian work right. The trips are essentially a form of humanitarian tourism which encourages cultural exchange and understanding between different peoples. This helps support the real work which is the ongoing support in those communities between trips. Providing opportunities for them to better their lives through industry and innovation. Teaching them to fish rather than giving them a fish. I am so glad to be able to go on these trips and witness firsthand the positive changes in the lives of these good people.

This was our 2nd expedition with Choice and we loved it so much!! We wanted a meaningful experience in helping others that are less fortunate. We wanted it to be change that could be sustained and not just painting a school for the 18th time. With Choice we a confident that those helped are learning to help themselves and being empowered to change. Because they have local teams that listen to the communities needs and are aware of roadblocks we feel certain our service will not only be meaningful but. The Choice team will follow up and continue to bless them. It’s less noble but I really appreciate the convenience and thoroughness of their planning. I am always super grateful for our expedition leader and their tireless efforts to plan trips and work out all the transportation, safe food and accommodations. It’s implies the experience and lets us focus on the transformation that we are experiences. My husband was very nervous if the cots and tent camping in Kenya. It honestly was more like glamping! Super comfortable, warm water showers and great food!! Our group was large, 38 people but everyone from the 10 to the 67 year did great!! We definitely plan to go to Nepal someday!! Kenya and Ecuador were amazing!!! The people have our hearts and we all learned more gratitude.

We had a very good experience traveling with choice humanitarian. I love that we could go as a family. Once we got in country everything seemed to be taken care of.
